Margaret Paulka Memorial Award

The late Mrs. Margaret Paulka was a much loved and dedicated President, mother and friend of St. Marks Calisthenics Club. Margaret’s contribution to the club was immense and that spirit remains today with Margaret being sadly missed, yet fondly remembered by all who knew her.

The Margaret Paulka Memorial Award is awarded to an individual who extends a commitment and dedication to the club, above and beyond that which is expected. 

The awardee is seen to be a person whose presence or work has enhanced or benefited St. Marks, much like that of Margaret herself.  

Margaret’s immense contribution to St. Marks will be everlasting.  Margaret’s courage, strength and genuine caring nature are admired and remembered with each    passing year. 

Margaret’s family determines the award recipient and will present them with the award at the conclusion of our Annual Concert.

SMCC Club Girl Award

The award is given to a recipient who has fulfilled the role of an overall Club Girl throughout the year.  It is awarded to an individual who has demonstrated a keen willingness to help in other sections other than her own, assist others within the club, embrace club functions and events, positive promotion of the Club, respect for others, assistance of others, support of other sections, embracing all aspects of the Clubs policies, etc.

The award is decided upon by a joint decision with the Coaches each year.

The award is given at the Annual Concert.

The award is open to anyone who has been at St. Marks for a minimum of 12 months (it cannot be given in a participants first year at the Club)
